The Rivio toolkit / Capabilities

A whole world.
Within reach.

Shape a model. Give it motion. Write the behavior. Hear it, play it, and make it better. Explore what Rivio puts in your VS Code workspace.

Roblox Studio

01 / Explore / change / test

Work with the game itself.

See your place as it is, make a change, and find out how it plays. Rivio connects your VS Code workspace to Studio’s hierarchy, properties, output, and live view.

  • Explore and search the instance hierarchy
  • Inspect and edit instance properties
  • Create, duplicate, move, and delete instances
  • Read and edit native Studio scripts
  • Import models and generated asset packages
  • Start, stop, and restart playtests
  • Capture the Studio view and game render
  • Test with keyboard and mouse input
  • Inspect runtime state, output, and errors
  • Work with explicitly selected Studio connections

Put it to work

Find a broken interaction, edit its script, play the game, and check the result.

Connect a place with the Rivio Studio plugin. Playtests, captures, and input also require the Studio MCP server enabled in Studio?s Assistant settings.

Code & projects

02 / Files / sources / context

Keep your code close to your world.

Use VS Code for the work it does best, with a view into the Roblox project beside it. Choose local Rojo files, Studio sources, or a mix of both.

  • Navigate projects in the Rivio Explorer
  • Open Roblox scripts in VS Code
  • Read, search, and update source through connected tools
  • Work with local Rojo projects and native Studio scripts
  • Synchronize supported project changes with Studio
  • Inspect live properties alongside source
  • Detect source conflicts before overwriting newer edits
  • Keep project files and generated assets in your workspace

Put it to work

Trace an instance to its script and update the behavior without losing project context.

Use your existing VS Code workspace; Studio features need a connected place. Rojo projects also need their own Rojo sync connection.

Blender

03 / Model / refine / export

Give an idea its shape.

Create new models or refine existing geometry in a connected Blender session. Move from basic forms to textured assets, then bring them into your Roblox workflow.

  • Create primitives and custom meshes
  • Move, extrude, inset, bevel, and subdivide geometry
  • Build forms from curves, profiles, and mesh lettering
  • Add, configure, and apply supported modifiers
  • Build architectural pieces and repeated assemblies
  • Arrange, align, duplicate, and organize objects
  • Partition high-poly meshes into smaller pieces
  • Inspect and repair supported geometry issues
  • Apply materials, image textures, and UV mapping
  • Bake supported texture maps
  • Set up cameras, lights, and visual previews
  • Save Blender projects and export GLB asset packages

Put it to work

Build a shop interior, add materials, prepare its meshes, and import it into Studio.

Requires a compatible Blender installation. Rivio connects it automatically when launched from Rivio; no separate add-on installation is needed. Final Roblox delivery depends on asset format and limits.

Animator

04 / Pose / key / perform

Put character into motion.

Pose and animate R6 and R15 characters in Rivio’s own editor. Refine timing, work with attached equipment, and review motion before taking it into Studio.

  • Author R6 and R15 character animation
  • Pose joints with move and rotate controls
  • Set individual joint keys or full-pose keys
  • Edit timing, easing, duration, and playback speed
  • Copy, paste, delete, and refine timeline keys
  • Use inverse kinematics and contact-aware motion tools
  • Attach equipment and animate its joints
  • Adjust equipment grips and replace equipment models
  • Preview playback and capture poses
  • Save reusable animations with undo and recovery
  • Install and test animation in a connected Studio place

Put it to work

Animate a character drawing a sword, refine the grip, and test the movement in-game.

Local animation authoring works without Studio. Studio integration requires the plugin.

Scene Editor

05 / Stage / direct / sequence

Bring the whole moment together.

Direct characters, props, cameras, and sound on a shared timeline. Keep animations reusable while composing the larger scene around them.

  • Stage multiple actors, props, and environments
  • Use R6, R15, and supported custom rig definitions
  • Insert registered models and Blender assets
  • Arrange objects with transforms, snapping, and parenting
  • Create and edit character animations inside a scene
  • Sequence clips, world motion, and equipment attachments
  • Animate cinematic cameras, framing, and field of view
  • Coordinate audio, lights, supported VFX, and events
  • Inspect shots and capture sequences for review
  • Validate and export standalone Roblox cutscene packages

Put it to work

Stage an encounter, cut between camera angles, add sound, and bring the sequence into Roblox.

Author locally; use Studio to install and validate the final Roblox playback.

Audio

06 / Sound / voice / atmosphere

Make your world sound alive.

Generate audio through ElevenLabs and keep the results with the rest of your assets. Create the sound of a moment, from a small interaction to a scene’s soundtrack.

  • Generate sound effects from a description
  • Create music for environments and scenes
  • Generate speech with available voices
  • Browse available voice options
  • Preview generated audio
  • Register audio in your local asset library
  • Use audio in scene timelines
  • Publish supported audio to Roblox

Put it to work

Create a door sound, a character voice line, and music for the room beyond it.

Requires your own ElevenLabs API key. Provider usage is separate; Roblox audio permissions and moderation apply.

Assets & publishing

07 / Collect / reuse / publish

From local file to your Roblox account.

Keep generated and imported assets organized, reuse them across your work, and publish supported assets directly through your connected Roblox account.

  • Browse, search, and inspect registered assets
  • Keep models, images, audio, animations, and scenes together
  • Reuse local models in scenes and Studio imports
  • Inspect asset packages and their dependencies
  • Connect your Roblox account with OAuth
  • Choose your account or an authorized group
  • Publish supported assets individually or in batches
  • Track upload progress and moderation status
  • Resume pending publication jobs
  • Keep published Roblox IDs with local assets
  • Inspect installations and repair supported asset references

Put it to work

Export a Blender model, reuse it in a cutscene, then publish the assets to your Roblox creator account.

Publishing is an explicit action. Roblox creator permissions, supported formats, moderation, and experience access still apply. Animation and scene preparation uses Studio.

Connected AI workflows

08 / Understand / act / review

Give your assistant tools to build with.

Bring a compatible AI assistant into the same workspace. Give it ways to inspect the project, make targeted changes, and review the result with actual tool feedback.

  • Connect through native VS Code tools or MCP
  • Discover available tools and their supported actions
  • Inspect project context before making changes
  • Chain dependent steps across connected tools
  • Run supported independent operations in parallel
  • Use source and document revisions to detect conflicts
  • Review Studio captures, editor previews, and diagnostics
  • Inspect long-running jobs and continue supported work
  • Move between code, geometry, animation, assets, and testing

Put it to work

Ask your assistant to build a prop, place it in the game, and check how it looks during a playtest.

Bring your own compatible assistant. AI subscriptions and provider usage are separate. Available actions depend on the tools you connect.

    Shape it

Build and texture a model in Blender.

  2. 02

    Stage it

Add motion, camera shots, and sound.

  3. 03
